Young Jim Hawkins helps run his parents' inn, the Admiral Benbow, on the English coast, until a scarred old seaman moves in with a heavy sea-chest and a terror of a one-legged man. A map to the buried treasure of the pirate Captain Flint falls into Jim's hands, and soon he is sailing for a distant island with a squire, a doctor, a stern captain and a charming ship's cook. But not everyone on board is what they seem.
