The Tale of Ong Gojip
Ong Gojip is the richest man in his village in Hwanghae Province, and also the stingiest and most stubborn. He keeps his elderly mother in a cold room, works his servants without rest, and has monks who come asking for alms beaten and thrown out. Word of his cruelty reaches a Taoist master living in a hermitage on a far-off mountain.
