The Tale of Hong Gildong
Gildong is the brilliant son of a high minister, but because his mother is a household servant he is not allowed to call his father 'Father' or his brother 'Brother'. When his place in the family becomes dangerous, he steps out into a kingdom full of corrupt officials and hungry people, and chooses a path no one expected of him.
